The Lantern hanging light from the Czech company Bomma impresses not only with its design, but also with its traditional production methods. All Bomma products are handmade from lead-free crystal that is mouth-blown. This handmade process gives each piece of lighting a unique character and original look. The Lantern collection is available in two colours: clear and smoke. The color variations are created using a basic stained glass technology that highlights the uniqueness of each piece. Due to the hand-blown nature of the underlying glass, individual pieces may vary slightly in intensity, shade or colour, a hallmark of traditional craftsmanship. Designed by Plecháč & Wielgus

Designers Jan Plecháč & Henry Wielgus are among the most important personalities of contemporary Czech design, renowned for their ability to combine traditional craft techniques with modern aesthetics. The collaboration, which began during their studies at the Academy of Arts and Crafts in Prague, has led them to international success thanks to the emphasis on functionality, simplicity and timelessness of their work. When designing the Lantern lighting for the Bomma brand, they drew inspiration from the archetypal shape of the lantern, which they transformed into an elegant and contemporary form. They combine hand-blown glass, characteristic of Czech glassmaking, with clean lines and modern proportions to create a design that is both aesthetically light and functional. Crossing the boundaries between art and practical design, their work is a testament to their unique approach and key position in the field of international design.
