The Rondo pendant light from the Czech manufacturer Lucis features a shade made of white hand-blown triple-layered glass, which provides a soft and even light diffusion. The metal parts are made of high-quality sheet steel and are available in two finishes - white and chrome - allowing the design to be adapted to the specific interior. The luminaire is suspended on a rod that matches the metal parts. Rondo is available in two sizes and offers a choice of two colour temperatures, allowing the lighting effect to be tailored to the needs and atmosphere of the space.

Handmade glass production

Lucis handmade glass is a process that combines traditional artisan techniques with modern design and high quality. Each piece of glass is carefully crafted and blown by skilled artisans who focus on detail and precision. The triple-layered glass is created by combining several layers, ensuring optimum light transmission and visual effect. This process not only creates a unique look, but also gives each product its characteristic finesse and quality. Hand-blown glass allows for the production of original shapes and designs, making each Lucis luminaire a unique work of art that combines aesthetics and functionality. This traditional method of glassmaking is the basis for creating high quality luminaires that are long lasting and sophisticated in appearance.

Choice of size and chromaticity for ideal illumination

The Rondo pendant luminaire offers a choice of two sizes - 450 mm and 550 mm, which allows the luminaire to be adapted to the size of the space in which it will be installed. The smaller version (450 mm) is ideal for compact spaces, while the larger version (550 mm) provides a stronger lighting effect and is suitable for spaces that require more lighting or have higher ceilings. You can also choose between two chromaticity variants - 3000K (warm white), which creates a warm and cosy atmosphere, or 4000K (neutral white), which provides a brighter and more natural light, ideal for work spaces or offices. This choice allows you to adapt the luminaire to your size requirements as well as to the lighting effect and atmosphere in the interior.

Designed by René Šulc

Czech designer of international stature René Šulc (*1978) graduated from the University of Applied Arts in Prague and the Department of Design in Zlín, focusing on product design, lighting, furniture, toys and medical devices. His clean, functional and often organically inspired designs have gained popularity with Czech and international companies, and in 2006 he founded his own studio, Inveno, where he further develops industrial design. His work draws inspiration from natural shapes, everyday sensations and the processes of growth, and although his work combines aesthetics with practicality, he himself remains one of the most distinctive figures in contemporary Czech design.
